Eric Jackson brings deep expertise and experience to the use of data to drive equitable results and high performance in the public sector, founding the Office of Data and Performance at the City of Asheville, co-leading the launch of an enhanced version of SimpliCity for exploring City data, and collaborating with Buncombe County and the local courts to safely reduce the jail population and increase equity through the Buncombe County Safety and Justice Challenge.
Eric is a 35-year technology industry veteran who has worked in technical and executive roles in scientific research and computing, enterprise software, and, most recently, municipal government and community organizing. The constant through all these endeavors has been the use of data to develop insights, make decisions, and support accountability.
